Yes, the accused will be in court. However, the court is a safe place and there are ways that Victim/Witness Services can help to make it easier for you to testify.
Should I complete a Victim Impact Statement?
A Victim Impact statement is your opportunity to tell the court how a crime has effected you. Before preparing a Victim Impact Statement, talk with the Victim Witness Coordinator or your local Police based Victim Services program about your statement will be used. They can give you the information you need to decide.
